George di Piro just posted all the details over on the TU Bike blog.
The past weekend was amazing and there was so much bike fun to be had. I ventured out and had a really really fun weekend.

Goldsprints! Absurdly hard and fun, and has been updated with really nice software and hardware since MTX2007.

So many cool bikes to stare at just walking down the street.

Kickstand! They’re a coffee shop that is carted over on bicycle and setup for the day wherever they’re at. They have amazing iced or hot coffee.

Ines Brunn.

In an attempt to let the world know how committed they are to their footwear line, Chrome announces their Turds For Gold Shoe Exchange. For two days only, Chrome will be slinging a new pair of shoes to anyone that sends them a worn-out pair of kicks.
“There are a lot of great shoe brands out their but few, if any, are made to handle the harsh demands of riding in the city,” says Chrome Marketing Director, Matt Sharkey.
“Our shoes are built to hold up under the toughest conditions and are designed 100% to address the needs of the everyday city cyclist. Not only did we want to build a shoe that was durable and functional, but we also paid close attention to overall fit and timeless style.”
The exchange begins on Wednesday, March 17 and ends promptly the next day on Thursday, the 18th. Packages must be post marked by 3/18 to qualify and should include a return shipping address and shoe size info.
Please ship all packages to:

5th Annual Mix Up the Dirt Mountain Bike Festival
June 13 @ the Clearing, SMBA trails
SMBA will be hosting the 5th annual MUD event from 10a-5p. This event will be held in the clearing adjacent to the power lines. There will be mountain bike demos, BBQ lunch, refreshments, scheduled group rides for all skill levels, mountain bike related activities, giveaways, etc.
The event is FREE and open to members and non-members alike. Attendees must have a helmet, water (hydration pack or water bottle) and mountain bike to take part in any of our group rides.
Demo bikes will be available from Trek, Gary Fisher, Giant, and Cannondale. High Adventure will also have an Ibis Mojo demo bike. If you wish to demo a bike, be sure to have a valid ID and credit card on hand as some may require a deposit to demo a bike. Anyone 18 years and under wishing to demo a bike will need a parent or guardian present.
Check out the latest cycling computers, Heart rate monitors and lighting systems from Sigma Sport. A few local bike shops will also be there. Talk to representatives from Blue Sky Bicycles, Elevate Cycles, EMS, and High Adventure Ski and Bike. They’ll also have lots of bike related stuff for sale as well. The Olde Saratoga Brewing Company has also donated five cases of beer for your post ride enjoyment.
The LUNA Chix of Upstate NY will also be there. Join them as they will lead a women’s only/all-abilities MTB ride at 10:30am and a co-ed intermediate MTB Ride at 1:30pm. They will have water bottles for $5 each and raffle tickets for sale for several items donated by Kenda with all proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Fund.
SMBA T-shirts and socks available
We have shirts available for $10 each in red, grey, and black, in sizes M through XL. We also have a limited number of “women’s”-cut tees available – they are grey, with the same logo but pink text instead of white; those are only remaining in a women’s large, which is comparable in size to a regular M.
The socks are black with a mid-cut ankle, with SMBA logos on each side of the ankle. There are limited numbers of S and XL left, as well as a regular supply of M and L sizes. (See below for size conversion.) The socks are $5 per pair.
We encourage all attendees to park in town and bike to the trails. Parking at the intersection of Clinton and Daniels is limited and inadequate. Parking in the clearing or on the access road will not be allowed under any circumstances. Here is a map showing available parking in town, on Skidmore campus as well as directions to the clearing.
