Details for my favorite race of the year have been posted on the Monstertrack Website.
There’s going to be tons of people racing this year and there will definitely be a few guys from Albany heading down.
Here is the video from last year, Schil filming, and Gavin and I riding with a bunch of NYC dudes.
Also, check out my Monstertrack X Racer Profile from last year, courtesey of Michael Green of BikeBlogNYC.
Wow I’m super stoked on this.

From the event listing on fbook:
A Burlington Alley Cat race from the people who brought you the “Great Turkey Chase”
Some details still getting worked out, just saving the date and getting the word out right now.
the race will be point to point with about a dozen checkpoints/photo locations. everybody needs to bring a digital camera (cell phone will work as well) to document each spot with a self portrait and a landmark shot.
aside from the locations, there will be other things than can be shot along the way for bonus prizes and time bonuses.
at the end, I’ll collect as many photos as I can from all the cameras to do a slide show at the afterparty. bonus prize for best photo as well.
So, who else is going?!

J Woz is throwing an alleycat! There will be a Mavic Wheelset up for grabs in addition to many other prizes. I hope to see you guys there!

There will be prizes! It will be awesome!
For clarification — A fixed gear can have any tires it wants.
A road or cross bike (or anything that coasts) — anything other than a fixed gear MUST have slicks.

Andy decided to undercut me and throw the seasons first alleycat. Hah.
Someone undercut him and throw one this weekend!
Rumor has it there will be a cash prize.
Any questions email Andy.
Rain is predicted for 5pm, the race will be well over by then.
Everything is still on.

Mary Lou’s beloved Kona was stolen from the rack outside of the Honest Weight Food Co-op two nights ago. It was locked and the lock was cut, as was the lock on a blue Cannondale that was next to it. We will be doing a pre or post critical mass “look for Mary Lou’s bike” ride. If interested please let us know!Â
If you see this bike, throw a lock or ten around it and call the police.
