Last weekend was what most people in my area are calling the first real race of the season. Which means, of course, the NYCross crew was out there.

• Emma placed second on Saturday and first Sunday, and is now the Verge series leader.
• Liz placed 3rd Sunday.
• Dan placed 15th Saturday in the UCI Elite race.
