H+ Son Rim Failure

H+Son Rim

H+Son Gone on Flickr – Photo Sharing!.

Pcitures of the new H+Son rims have been popping up all over the internet and have been said to be the new Deep V. However after about two weeks of these things being in the spotlight, there’s a bunch of people reporting them tearing and exploding from extremely typical daily fixed gear use. I highly doubt that this was able to be produced by an unseated tube and a strong wire bead.

I would strongly advise anyone who was planning on getting these to wait for the manufacturer to admit to this happening, tell us why, and fix it. Imagine if that happened to your front wheel when bombing a hill.

Update: Read more from Matt at No One Line, and John at Prolly is not Prolly.

Yeah, not a whole lot of confidence in this product. My take…
